Herald the Day! It Took 28 COPs, but The Elephant in the Room was Finally Called Out

Well, the outcomes may not have included everything from the wish list, but #cop28 did have one assuredly remarkable result.

After 27 COP conferences, we finally had, with COP 28, #governments willing to name the elephant in the room — #fossilfuels —the burning of which is a primary contributor to #global warming!

The COP 28 agreements made and the way in which fossil fuels’ impact was included in them was, in the end, a compromise. But, then, intransigence doesn’t help, either. I prefer to take a positive stance and rejoice in important compromises that support a better, brighter #future.
