John Lewis Partnership's Newest Repair Initiative Paves Way for Reuse Rather than New Purchase, But Will the Customer Actually Use It?

Good to see this news that department store John Lewis & Partners is getting in on the action of #clothing and #textile restoration.

In partnership with Johnsons Cleaners, part of Timpson Group, the retail #business is set to “fix, alter, clean and restore items” for customers.

The initiative is only in trial stage now, and so only available at a select number of JLP #retail sites across the UK.

It will be fascinating to see if customers, themselves, take the initiative with a ‘#reduce, #reuse, #recycle’ mindset; rather than follow the temptation to buy new.
