Professional Cricketers' Association Appoints Its First Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director, and It's None Too Soon

Within the last five hours has come the superb news from The Professional Cricketers'​ Association (PCA) that they have appointed Former Olympic Sprinter Donna Fraser OBE OLY (she/her) as the organisation's first Director of #Diversity, #Equity and #Inclusion.

There's been a rallying cry across the #sport sector for creating a more diverse, equitable and inclusive environment, with the PCA front and centre to such calls as an association which must do better. However, without a clear and concerted approach combined with strong #leadership to steward real change, the organisation has been hard-pressed to make good ground.

Donna Fraser OBE has not only competed multiple times in the #Olympics, #World Championships, Europeans, and Commonwealth Games but also brings a pedigree of corporate, non-profit, governmental and #sporting expertise to the fold with her last appointment as Head of Inclusion and #Engagement for the 2022 #Commonwealth Games a consummate launchpad for her Directorship with the PCA.
