PwC and London Business School Find Marked Increase in Executive Compensation Linked to ESG Targets
A new survey conducted by PwC and the London Business School of 50 major companies researched shows that three-quarters have now linked executive #compensation to #climate targets. In 2020, there were less than 50%.
And it’s not ethereal targets that the executive pay is tethered to: PwC and London Business School discovered that 68% are using approved Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to assess the right #executivepay levels. That, too, is a marked increase from 2020.
That’s progress!
There are also an increasing number focused on the “S” — #societal aspects of “#ESG,” with #diversity, #equity and #inclusion front and centre to the agenda, not only within the companies, themselves, but also across their value chain or sphere of influence and #impact.
